What is Progesterone?
Progesterone is the hormone thats helps the body prepare for conception. While progesterone levels are low during the first half of the menstrual cycle, during the second half the ovaries produce progesterone in very high amounts,PDGletting you know with accuracy, when ovulation is taking place.

What is PdG?
PdG stands for Pregnanediol Glucuronide, the major urine metabolite of Progesterone.

What does the Easy@Home® Progesterone (PdG) Urine Test measure?
The Easy@Home® Progesterone PdG Urine Test detects elevated levels of PdG in urine. A Positive result from the PdG Test may confirm that ovulation has occurred.

How does the Easy@Home® Progesterone (PdG) Urine Test work?
Levels of Progesterone in the female body rise after ovulation in regularly ovulating women. The Easy@Home® Progesterone (PdG) Test measures the presence of PdG in urine, which has been shown to directly correlate with the presence of progesterone in serum (blood). The PdG levels in urine typically rise gradually 24-36 hours after ovulation. It may take up to 5 days after the LH surge to build up enough PdG to get a positive result, which would indicate that ovulation has likely occurred.

How does the Easy@Home® Progesterone (PdG) Urine Test work?
The Easy@Home® Progesterone Test should be performed AFTER you believe ovulation has taken place. We recommend you use the PdG Tests 5 days after the positive result achieved with the Ovulation Kit.
