Easy@Home Digital Thermometer EMT-026 Q&A

How can the temperature be taken? What is the accuracy of each method?

There are three ways to take a temperature: Oral, Rectal, and Auxiliary (Underarm). Please look over testing directions in the manual for the best testing tips.

  • The average normal oral temperature is 98.6˚F (37˚C).
  • A rectal temperature is 0.5˚F (0.3˚C) to 1˚F (0.6˚C) higher than an oral temperature.
  • An armpit (axillary) temperature is usually 0.5˚F (0.3˚C) to 1˚F (0.6˚C) lower than an oral temperature.

Tip: To save battery life, turn it off the unit after every use. If no action is taken, the unit will automatically shut off after 10 minutes.
